Stone cage mesh is a new type of flexible structure mainly used in river embankments, which is mechanically woven from corrosion-resistant, high-strength, and ductile low-carbon steel wire or PVC/PE coated steel wire. Its diameter varies according to engineering design requirements. Usually between 2.0-4.0mm, the tensile strength of gabion mesh steel wire is generally between 350-500N/mm. The gabion mesh is assembled using assembly methods, with the cover plate, edge plate, end plate, and bottom plate produced separately to form a net cage. All edge wires of the net cage are reinforced with coarse wire to enhance the strength of the gabion mesh.
Stone cage mesh is widely used in transportation, water conservancy, municipal, landscaping, soil and water conservation and other engineering projects, for slope stabilization and protection, dam diversion, mountain flood control, and flood prevention and slope stabilization.
